Top notch, that cage looks really substantial and you can see its been built with the track in mind.

I'd build a plenum chamber and ducting for those carbs though, easily worth a few extra ponies.

Koni TA's? VR brakes, bet it makes a few more exotic motors feel a little foolish through the bendy stuff.

Yes the jetta is a better track tool, its more aerodynamic, more rigid as a base shell and has better balance due to the extra weight out back, The golf gets all oversteery and twitchy at the limit.

Its the better f/r balance thats the beauty of these, plus the extra wheel base over a 3door Golf makes lift off oversteer a useable option instead of a brown pants moment.

I'd really recommend widetrack conversion with offset top mounts to correct the subsequent negative camber, it provides the same geometry as a Corrado. No wash out or understeer on aggresive turn in. A real joy.

I love Jettas, greater boot capacity than a Volvo 740 too!

Really like the car, just shows what can be done. Just out of interest, easy question, what size rims are you on? I only ask as I was wondering what are the smallest rims you can fit over a 280mm brake conversion?

The smallest rims you can get over 280mm brakes are 15"

I'm using either 17" Team Dynamics, with Pirelli p-Zeros (Shown in pics) or Std 15" VW Golf G60 steel wheels with Toyo R888 Race tyres.

Don't get thinking you have to pay a fortune for the 15" G60 Wheels, they are still available new from VW i'll post the part number if you want, they are about £35.00 Plus VAT each, thats about £162.00 for four including VAT, bought another set last week. DON'T get ripped off on EBAY paying more than they are new!!!!!!
