Project peanuts

It is not the weather for riding a motorbike, so after deliberating for a month or so, I have bought a shitter!

106k miles, a CD player and an MOT is about all I got though. It drives ok and should get me through the next 2 months then I'm bike on 2 wheels - roll on March!

There are a few issues with the car, but I will only run this for a month or so before putting it away until next car, but it largely drives well

So, I thought I would start to clean it up and see what's under the grime and TBH it is pretty usable. IT struggles starting and if provoked by the shunting technique the revs will hunt bottom end. Rest of the time it drives bang on and pulls cleanly most of the way through the revs [not red lined yet]. There is a knocking from the front [subframe rubbers according to the last MOT advisory] and the clutch bites high but no slipping or juddering.

Day 1 of work and I used the bike

Now for sale. I don't use it enough to justify the expense of running it and it isn't worth taking up the space on the drive.

The car looks great from a reasonable distance, but does have the odd scratch and dent and may have had a front wing at some point.

Equipment is fairly good, including central locking, electric front windows, driver’s airbag, eight-speaker stereo system, CD player with MP3, alarm, immobiliser, eight-spoke alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, electric glass sunroof, climate control with working air con.

In addition I have added aero wipers and a new pollen filter as well as 12 hours cleaning the fecking thing.

The engine and gearbox are in good order however it has some niggles. At the last MOT it advised of subframe rubbers which might explain the rattle up front. The temp gauge doesn't work and a couple of little bulbs on the dash are out. The other mystry which might be to do with the temp sensor is it hunt's around tickover for a while. Starting it requires a technique, and getting it to settle just takes 20 seconds or so. It's never not started and never stopped. With a bit of handy work it will be the executive class leader it once was...
