at the moment I want to keep my susspenision stock, mostly because it's almost brand new (9000 miles total).

I'm just wondering how these 17s will look with my stock susspension (2004 1.6 16v engine)

If You could share some opinions and pics of stock susspension jetta/bora 1.6 16v on 17' I would appreciate...

Soon I will write about my sat-nav and badge plans
take care and good night Smile

The first set, santa monica's are a nice wheel, they would probably fill the arches quite well...... and you can get a good lowering spring set up for relatively cheap also dude, check eibach stuff you might be surprised with the price!

I'm loving this Smile)) like Eva Mendez beauty spot Smile

Of course I can't put GTI or V6 badge on my mighty 16v cause I don't want to create a fake impression..
What I'm willing to do is put 16v badge on my front grill.. I've seen badge of this kind on polo or lupo 16v i guess..
I just don't know if that polo badge will fit my bora's grill...

Opinons and suggestions are wellcome
thank you in advance Smile

Hi Cyro
Those Santa Monica's suit's your bora really well.
I recently drove to Przemysl (Poland) to see my new family.
All i can say is i am glad i went in my Vw golf Anniversary and not my Vento which is much faster than my golf but when you go threw the polish boarder the road is hell on any car.
In your case lowering your car to complement your bora would make your life a little hard so i would colour code the bottom half of your bumpers and also the rubber strips this will give the appearance of being lower and also complemate your wheels.

Onos, thank you for kind words. I'm gonna put some more pics soon I hope. Indeed most of polish roads stops you from useing coilovers. Even useing rims 17"+ with standard susspension can cause some problems. Road are not so bad in general (they are worst than in UK or USA) but on quite smooth road you may encounter surpirse in a shape of big deep hole Smile. And yes That's I wrote at the beginning that I love cars with low susspension. I had one before, but it would make my life misserable. The black stripes on my car... well If I managged to get nice set of chrome in my color I would got it otherwise i don't know. Just painting the rubber things will make them look crappy i think. But maybe I'm wrong... some more pics from that first night Smile
