like i say ive only had it back on the road for about a month so its not perfect but im happy with it uptill now
i fitted mk2 golf black leather to it last week so will get pics up of that aswell in the next couple of days

i had it on pistonheads about sept last year, an i'd bought it the march b4 that, i got a mk1 golf shortly after that aswell so i couldnt really find time for the jetta, i was a night shift taxi driver so i lost intrest in it a bit through frustration of never being able to get to it get easy access to it, it was stored on my mates farm a few miles away, but when people started phoning about it an the thought of letting it go was sinkin in i changed my mind an kept it, glad i did tho

it was red that my 16v one was before, im a panel beater spray painter to trade an im not normally a fan of red cars so when i got my 16v when i was 18 my first thought was to change the colour, but really like the tornado red on the mk2's

think mine would get beaten by a diesil powered pensioner the now tbh, its got a really bad flat spot, changed plugs leads dizzy cap roter arm etc, just waiting on a relay for my fuel pump because it sometimes still primes aftr the ignitions off, think the jetta spat its dummy out because i left it in a barn for a year an i was going to sell it lol

I had a red 1 some years back sold it to a friend & he didn't tax it so it got squashed... not to my amusement but hey ho.

i know what you mean i sold a mate a tornado red h plate mk2 golf was only a 1.3 but had gti int, jetta frontend, flush bootlid an recessed plate in the back bumper, an the drives door haddnt even droppd lol, an he didnt tax it or nowt an it got turned into juice cans aswell, guts you when folk do that, i hate selling cars to folk i know incase they dont take care of them an i see them minging an falling to bits, i know most ppl say its doesnt matter because ive sold it but it still matters to me

Call me sad if you want but I still think of my wife's mk2 wich I sold to a woman that smoked and only ever washed it twice (half as well!) It was a E reg 1300 when I bought it the old girl hadn't even hit 100000 miles and it was white when I bought it but washed to red again haha but she since sold it to her brother down south somewhere............at least I dont see it anymore

i can totally relate to that i seen a 325 E30 i used to own running around edinburgh an it wasnt a pretty sight, i contemplated trying to offer the guy cash for it, but i thought if this is how gutted i feel by the mess of it by looking at it, then how much worse am i gonna feel driving it

so just left it, honestly felt like giving the lad a slap like, was the same guy that had bought it off me an it was a really nice straight genuine car when i had it, hed just not bothered his arse with it
