My Bora Project Empty My Bora Project

Post by jacktdi Tue Mar 24, 2009 2:05 pm

This is my project Bora, picked it up last Thursday, so not a great deal done yet.

Needs a few bits: Front bumper trim, left hand side grille, and the splitter and a pair of droplinks.

When i got the car the first thing i did was remove the badges from the back and i also painted the rear VW badge in panther black.

Planned for the car I have:
*Refurb alloys, black but keeping the silver lip
*Spray the front VW badge in panther black
*Black angel eyes
*Coilovers
*Going full red on the rear lights unless i can find some decent rear lights.
*Remap
*Decat
*Decent panel filter
*Change headunit and add a fairly decent sub and amp.

Then in the distant future most probally a respray.

^^Black side repeaters-yes you can still see the light through them lol^^

Thought I would do little bits like this in black because in time it will go with the theme of the car with the black alloys with silver lip, black angel eyes and ive decided to get some black rear lights, not sure on which one yet though, dont like the lexus lights.

Today I fitted my new fuel filter then made a brief start on my wheels, decided to go for a polished lip now instead on silver, got one of the wheels done, just need to get myself some 2000grade sand paper to finish it off.

Got all the paint removed off the lips on my alloys and polished them up using sand paper, starting with 240, 400, 600, 800, 1200 and finished off with some super fine wire wool then polished up with autosol.

Just need to source some other wheels so I can get them off and spray the centres black now.

Cra is starting to look something like now, got a front bumper strip on now and its tidied the front end alot, still need a left hand side grille and the bottom of the bumper though.

Was planning on doing the inside of my wheels black this week but due to poor funds i couldnt, so they should be getting done in like 2-3 weeks time.

Shes starting to get a nice shine, got 3 layers of autoglym high def built up on her now.

Not much to update, got a carbon fibre tax disc holder......£20...shocking, also got rid of the big ariel on the roof in replace for a smaller ariel and also got some material.....checkered of course and used that on the parcel shelf.

Skint at the moment though so no lowering will be happening yet, got some checkered valve caps on order but thats about it at moment.
