Making The Mk2

After very very little thought, me and Venturbo decided to give Wiggy's model car a lick of paint to make it more authentic.

These are a few tips supplied by the 'Haynes how to paint your model MkII' handbook.

1. Disconnect Battery
2. Remove Front Left Wheel
3. Remove skin from fingertips due to pointless instructions unrelated to the task in hand.

4. Remove bonnet using fingertips, be carefull not to pull bonnet to hard as it may damage the Die-Cast framework. Now shake Halfords found in Boot Satin Black paint until passers by think your about to graffiti.
Once your arm is totally knackered and you cant hold the can straight to paint, apply base layer.

5. Now take apart your complete Jetta, including complete chassis, doors, rear bumer and various other fixings. But remember not to drop rear bumper into the bushes below as this causes stress to wiggy.

6. After several coats of paint (Just enough to hide the green) and about 30 seconds drying time put your car back together, providing that you have found the rear bumper and managed to work out your 5 piece puzzle your car should now look like this

7. Now is the hands of Wiggy the bonnet should now be applied with all relevant text, this can be done with a blob of tip-ex and the corner of your 'Jetta Owners Club' card.

8. Congratulations, your Jetta Model car now looks just like the one that you drive.

I bought one of those models at gti international last year (well, my other half bought it for me), the bloke did it for half price as he couldnt shift them!

i got one off ebay.
