Just a little update gave the old beast a clean today, She hasn't moved in two months due to the head gasket letting go, theres still quite a few other bits still to be attended to, Paint the front bumper, fit oem fogs, new front spoiler, fit poly bushes to subframe and wishbones, fit new brake pressure regulator, headgasket oh and a new rear panel to sort that fooking dent

The front looks so much better with the splitter and clear indicators in-place.

Cheers guys unfortunatly don't think it will be at stonor, due to work commitments and getting a dog the engine swap is taking alot longer than planned, but will be more than likely rolling up in the girlfriends bora

Wahoo got the bumper finished doesn't look too bad for my first spraying effort, got the fog lights in finally as well, while the bumpers been off it seemed like the ideal time to clean up the cross members on the front and fit the poly bushes i've had sitting around for them since last year will get some pictures up once I can find my camera

My Jetta 16v Empty Cleaning up

Post by jedi16v Wed Aug 13, 2008 4:14 pm

Thought i'd get shot of the black tape on the back of the front door and front of the rear, what a pig of a job but looks alot better for it imo
the start of the process dog got the sack, good at barking at me but crap at polishing
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
after two hours of cursing starting to get somewhere
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
whatever they used at the factory it was meant to stick, onto the rear
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
end result
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
not bad for six and a bit hours, two thumbnails, 1 can of wd40, half a bottle of meguairs and alot of colourful langauge can't wait to do the other side
