you could get away with a 40mm adaptor on the rear and skim a couple mm or get a 35mm and add a 3mm spacer and your top edge tyre will be 5mm inside the lip so you could slightly tuck it and youd have 23mm pokeage on the face of the wheel

id get a 25mm for the front and put about 1/2 or 1 degree camber on the front your only pulling the tops of your fronts in 17mm a side which depending on your make wont pull the bead off enough for you to drop it onto the lip but the camber should help slightly and you should be able to tuck about half the tyre and stay hard

my plan was 25s n 30s! so fronts sit flush and rears would poke!

need to borrow some1s adapters 1st tho to trail them! but should be here by end of month!

yep, that a sump, manifold, rocker cover and throtle body casing! so not sure whats gone happen to them, but at least they are here!


So as the eyebrow was painted green, so i though i would paint it to match car, emailed VW souf africaz n told me the car was marine blue, so went to Halford, bought a rattle can of VW marine blue, primered my eyeberow, spare handle and bdgeless grill, and then started paintin!

in other news tho, the car got washed yesterday, and just now i got off the fone to some people who deal with wheels things like locking wheel bolts, tyres, wheels, adapters and spacers! and well.. ordered somethin naughty!! :shh: :thumbup: :clap:


and Rob trimmed my arch trims so i can wack them on when i roll the arches.

So rear brakes got fitted....

and while wheels were off, i turned my coils down 20mm as it had too much rake, so now rear arches sit 1cm higher than fronts, so sits perfect!

and got the right colour paint (or so i thought) from VW.

think they came out great! so coulodnt wait to get them on, so trialed them both on!

im still unsure, but i think its because the car lacks girth! need some phatness which wheels will bring!

also, got down to some arch rollin and trim cutting ready for plastic arches to go on..
1st tho, had to put the car on my little ramp as even widow maker wasnt fittin under the jack points!

then hoover extention pipe came to play!

and then a kitchen knife also joined in with the fun to trim the lips of the arches so they dont rub when the go on!

Hard to see, but there is a little bit of washer camber on there, it was a skinny ass washer, less than a 1mm one.

as for grille i'd opt for option 2 if your gunna run without arch trims. it gives it that modern look.
