| The SOD is at it again I put the key in the door and twisted and then twisted again (NOTHING). I take it the central locking works on air in the Vento? The locking all works fine from the passenger door? Was wondering if a pipe may have come off but still works from the other side. So im confused Any advice would be greatly accepted. Thanks |

| It could be that one of your air lines came loose inside the door or perhaps there is something wrong in the lock itself.
During the winter my car would have problems with the locks working at temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit. _________________

| The mechanism from the key part to the locking bit usually snaps.
If you take the handle off the car, it should have a long flat pin attached to the handle.
This pin is held in by a spring, there is a hook near the spring that will have snapped.
If the vacuum pipe had came undone, the pump would constantly pump:shock: |

Thanks Sim16v.
The pin that goes into the mechanism has snapped but not at the hook end its broken inside the mechanism.
Can this be serviced or would it be a new mechanism?
Any further advice would be great. |
