well here is my baby, she is going through alot of changes now. i decided to name it "Dugotti" b/c im going mafia and john gotti was well know, so i combined dub and gotti. ill be getting my new bumper and paint tomorrow, but still have to repaint the car. here is a list of mods so far:

i got a mail from Antony Thompson (Reaver) 2 check out your website, and coulden't agree more with him, you guys need more mk5.

so i thought 2 post mine, it's not much, but it's a start.

The SOD is at it again

I put the key in the door and twisted and then twisted again (NOTHING).

I take it the central locking works on air in the Vento?

The locking all works fine from the passenger door? Was wondering if a pipe may have come off but still works from the other side. So im confused

Any advice would be greatly accepted.

hey guys ive noticed ive got an oil leak, not sure where its coming from as there is oil covering the bottom of the car? ive just filled it back up as it was empty, and its basically trickling back out from somewhere?

has anyone got any ideas, is there a common fault on ventos?

Heater switch getting hot!

Has anyone had to replace the heater switch. I've got one that only works on setting 4 (it did work on setting 2 for a while) but it heats up the switch so much it has begun to melt the plastic. It' s not the resistor by the motor so I think it must be a fault with the switch. Do you have to rplace all three heating controls or can you just change one at a time. How do access the switch to reomve it? Hope someone can help. Thanks

Ive got a silver 8v gti, which I bought with 38k on the clock completely standard it was.

Its had a couple of looks, some will know it on edition38, or our own site, www.vagingit.co.uk.

heres the spec: 8v with schrick cam,gasflowed head,miltek exhaust manifold,jetex exhaust, fk coilovers, mim alloys, and full black leather inside.

Its a GT. 1986. 1800 8v MPI in the form of K jet. It goes SO well, Better than anything ive EVER driven before, including my old TSR'd 1900 mk2 golf GTi..

Dont know why its a 'GT' and not a GTI, its even on the logbook as one. Was it just before they named it the GTI? Oh well, keeps my insurance to �340 PA, not bad for a 20yr old..)

Its done some miles, and the bodywork is SO bad, but �140 for a car with 10 months MOT that runs absolutely spot on, cant be bad, right? (180000 miles, ...

most panels you can buy but its not quite the same with rear quarters.

So why would I do this to my engine bay?, despite having to much time on my hands and nothing else to do!

Great fun, Not! Thought my engine was coming along nicely, it was running well and when I got back from santa pod very quietly after I changed the ht leads, so why start taking it apart?

Well because of this!
